I feel it a great honor to have a chance to give a speech here, talking about the haze weather, which causes lots of bad effects on our health and life. We breathe polluted air, making us sufferfromlung and liver diseases. Besides, because of it, the flights have to be canceled. All kind of transports may run into each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.
As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. As individuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reduce carbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out the related law on pollution.

At once I went to him and said “Uncle , you can’t do like this . These things will rot very soon. It’s bad for our health and make the people fall ill.” However ,the man said “Everyone does so ,who falls ill,who will see the doctor.”
Looking at this , I remembered another act : There is a stream through our village. Over it there are two bridges .At the age of seven years old , I enjoyed the beautiful scenery under the bridge very much. It was the best place to swim in summer. But now the rubbish was getting more and more .Dish leaves,fruit skins,dead ducks and chickens….after rotting ,not only the mosquitos flew around but also the bad smell made everyone feel quite terrible.Though the stream was cleaned up several times, it’s still happening now. A lot of plastic bags always float on it .In summmer we have to go far away from the village to swim.
What causes this? Who is the devil?It’s the human ourselves. I have got to known from a book .The rubbish in the countryside mostly oupies the fields and damages the earth’s surface .It pollutes soil,wave ,atmosphere and damages our health. The adults often say “The body is capital.” But why are they able to make woollen cloth like this ? Does it affect everybody’s safe and sound life ? Schoolmates, we are the host of society tomorrow . It’s our duty to improve and build the safe invironment. Safety is in our hands .We must take park in more environmental protection activities, Plant more trees and flowers to make us live in a beautiful home with the blue sky ,blue water and green land forever.

The title of my speech today is: "protect the environment, start from the spot."
As we all know the per person per day to save a piece of paper, a year can save much paper? 4745 sheets of paper, also can cut less 1.581666 million trees a year, "1.581666 million" this is what a staggering! In this sense, save paper, afforestation.
Car is also damage the environment a great sinner, day after day he exhaust, contains large amounts of carbon dioxide. green house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-Shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of EL Nino and La Nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... Seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? We are not the masters of nature. Facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. Any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.
By saying so, I do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development. Because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society. I mean we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are obtaining the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win.

We all know tagore.this famous indian poet once said, “life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” as the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. however, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. in fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse. do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures are amazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? if possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

Good morning, everyone!
Dear students, when you walk into our garden like campus in the morning light, when you sit in a clean and tidy classroom to study, do you think of the hard work of teachers and students?
We are all eager to have lush grassland on campus, to learn and play in a clean and tidy environment, and to sleep in a comfortable and warm dormitory.
But some students do not know how to cherish these beautiful things. Please look at the campus carefully - the white walls are marked with shoe and ball marks; There are traces of graffiti on the desks and chairs; The tap is on, letting the water run away wantonly; The beautiful lawn and flower bed are left with merciless footprints; Plastic bags, packaging boxes, peel paper scraps were scattered all over the floor. When other students were taking lunch and evening breaks, the loud noise inside and outside the dormitory broke the peace. How incongruous these phenomena are with our beautiful, civilized and harmonious campus!
Students, take action immediately! A piece of paper, we pick up; A drop of water, we save; A pile of garbage, we clean, love a small sapling, protect a small frog. Do everything we can for our campus. "Don't stop doing good things because they are small, and don't stop doing bad things because they are small.". For this reason, I appeal to all the students in : to create a clean and civilized campus, we need you, we need to work together. Let's take active action! Let's start from now, from the little things around us, strengthen self-restraint, mutual supervision, and strive to be the little guard of protecting the campus environment.
