People often say: Teacher is the engineer of human spirit.
Last September, I became a teacher.
How to become a real teacher? This is the first difficulty that I come across in my career.

If a teacher can’t set up her dignity in front of the students, it will make the class teaching more difficult.
In my lessons, the students often kept on talking, acting, and asking questions.
What should I do? I can’t get along with them like this any more.
I must be strict with them.
Pay more attention to what should be praised, what should be criticized.
Any carelessness is not permitted.
At last, the class discipline became better.
Nowadays, the importance of learning English is obvious.
The world becomes globalization and unify.
The association of each country is closer and closer.
People call the earth as a global village.
English is the first current language in the international world.
The communication of politics, economy and culture is upon English.
As we know, we will take a beating if we lay behind.
How to catch up with the world? That is, study English well to gain the first hand data.
The entrance of WTO, the Olympic Games which will be held in 20xx, shows that we must learn English well as quickly as possible.
Forcing study won’t stay in the heart, feeding knowledge into the brain won’t get a good result, and high mark isn’t our teaching goal.
To get a satisfied effect, we should make the students learn on their own initiative.
How to make them feel interested in studying English? I think the key point is the teaching design.
It must be vivid and vigorous.
We can change our study contents into games, performances, competitions and so on.
Let them believe English is easy and funny.
As the step of history is advancing, the demand of English teaching is changeable.
The junior students are not what we know as before.
They have a lot of knowledge, and are good at combining English with other subjects, such as history, geography, physics, chemistry and so on.
Their English level is higher than what we thought.
Many of them started learning English in their primary school.
So English teacher should pursue advanced studies constantly, and master the latest teaching materials and methods to meet today’s demands.
I feel very happy to be an English teacher.

一、活动背景
当岁月的车轮驶过20xx，在这不寻常的一年里，有多少悲壮，有多少感动，有多少梦想，有多少光荣，铭记在我们的心里，写进了共和国的历史画卷里。这一路的艰辛坎坷，无一不是我们的祖国逐步富强的印记。而在经济全球化，中国一步步走向国际的今天，英语，无疑成了我们最必不可少的工具，唯有用英语武装自己，才能让世界更加了解中国，让我们的祖国，在国际化的道路上越走越稳，越走越强。
我校，中南财经政法大学，是国家“211工程”重点建设高校之一，近几年来，我校迅速发展，显示出了极大的潜力，全校师生员工团结一致，同心同德，努力把我校建设成为全国一流的人文社会科学大学。我校是一块充满朝气的沃土，治学严谨又不失活泼。天之骄子的大学生们，以朝气蓬勃的精神面貌，怀揣着理想，不断用汗水浇灌着自己的梦想；拥有社会责任心的桃李们，一直都在关心国家的前途和命运。

二、活动主题——OnTheJourney
人生是一条漫长的旅途，每个人都是天生的旅人。旅行的意义就在于，你永远不知道下一站你将在哪里，你会遇见什么样的事物，未知的未来激励着我们不断的前行，探索。在旅途中，我们会看见漫山兀自盛放的野花；我们会听到夜莺嘴里飞出的婉转歌声；我们会闻到久经沉淀的檀香；有时我们必须独自面对密布的荆棘；更多的时候我们会与同行的朋友并肩作战，踏浪前行，看到那一盏导航灯在迷雾里渐渐清晰。
20xx年，冬奥会赛道上中国运动健儿们的身影划破长空落入只属于他们的舞池，赛场上冉冉升起的五星红旗染红了皑皑的冰雪；世博拉起帷幕，人类文明之大成齐聚上海，叩响上海和中国的腾飞之门。
然而，我们和中国都还在路上。
旅途中的溪水，绕过花草，跳过涧石，从一切中走过，欣赏而不占有。
旅途中的我们，同中国一起成长。
有时，我们都太专注于赶路，忘记在自己的行囊中留下了美好的回忆，忘记回头看看曾经踩下的脚印，感受曾经留下的心情。为此，外语协会将中南财经政法大学外国语学院英语文化节之湖北省大学生“MyStory”英语演讲大赛主题定为OnTheJourney，希望有社会责任感的大学生关注中国的命运，说出自己同中国的成长故事，把自己旅途中的精彩同每一个人分享，在夏夜习习的凉风和淡淡的回忆中做短暂的停留休整后，我们再重新启程，我们知道，在充满希望和未知的20xx年，我们会经历更多令人心惊动魄的美丽。
三、活动口号——由此开始，随处可往（startheregoanywhere)
有一个青年，天生就是个舞者，但他现在并不打算开始跳舞，他听说有一个就罗陀斯的地方，那里是跳舞者的天堂，那里开满玫瑰花，从此他就踏上了寻找罗陀斯之旅。一日，他遇见一位老者，他向老者说明来意，询问罗陀斯在哪里？这位老者答道：“这里就是罗陀斯！就在这里跳舞，这里有玫瑰花，就在这里跳舞！”
由此开始，随处可往
四、活动目的
1、由我校外国语学院主办、外语协会承办举行的“中南财经政法大学外国语学院英语文化节暨第六届湖北省大学生MYSTORY英语演讲大赛”旨在进一步改善我校英语学习氛围的同时，借此契机加强与湖北省其他高校沟通和交流，并协作搭建一个可以让有梦想、有志向的大学生来展示自己、提高自己的平台。
2、本届英语演讲大赛的主题：ONTHEJOURNEY更是激励着每一个正努力前进中的同学要在人生的旅途中不断充实自己，提高自己。而本次活动的举办也正是为了能够让同学们在比赛中逐渐提高自己的能力，充实自己的业余生活。
3、开展此类学术性的活动，我们不仅可以提高学生英语学习的积极性，从而推进我校的英语教学工作，而且我们还能在此过程中与湖北其他高校加强沟通和联系，在沟通和联系中共同进步、共同发展。同时，本次活动的举行也有助于今后各高校之间开展其他学术交流和合作。
五、可行性分析
1、本次活动在我校外国语学院的帮助和支持下，扩大了mystory的活动影响力，能吸引更多的同学积极参与。同时，有外国语学院的。加入，能让外语协会的全体成员更有信心更加认真负责的完成mystory的顺利进行。
2、本届mystory扩大了比赛范围，由本校内举办扩大为在湖北大学生共同的文化节日，增强了活动的号召力，扩宽了自我展现的平台，对在校大学生更加具有吸引力。
3、比赛的评审将会由学校的资深老师和外教担任，同时还很可能会引进大众评审，保证了比赛的公正性和权威性。
4、学习英语已成为当代大学生乃至全社会的一种时尚，顺应时代潮流，大力开展此次活动，为本校大学生提供了锻炼英语口才，展现个人风采的平台。
5、外语协会已经有十余年的历史，不断的成长，使其在举办比赛方面拥有较为成熟的经验和方法。具有举办大型比赛的实力。
6、在此之前，外语协会已经成功举办五届“MYSTORY”英语演讲大赛，不仅均获得圆满的成功，而且增强了大赛在学校的影响力。有了前面的经验，相信这次的“MYSTORY”一定会更加出色。
7、各社团组织精彩不断，创造了活跃的校园氛围，为本次活动提供了良好的客观环境。
8、此次比赛将是我校规模最大，影响最广的英语演讲比赛，是弘扬我校园文化，加强大学生思想道德建设的重要活动。外语协会将全力以赴，将比赛各项工作出色完成。
9、同时外协的会员将近几千人，这使得该比赛拥有坚实的参赛基础。并有助于学校挖掘有实力有能力的英语方面人才。
六、宣传方式

&对本活动进行跟踪调查，以问卷调查形式，统计本活动的得失之处，作好赛后处理工作。集思广益，以增进交流，收集意见，促进活动的不断完善和发展。

八、活动流程
本次大赛分为报名、预赛、初赛、复赛和决赛五个环节，以下分别就每个环节的比赛流程加以说明。
（一）、报名
1、时间：3月17日至3月19日
2、地点：初步设滨湖、图书馆前和环湖三个报名点。
（二）、预赛
1、时间：3月25日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：每位选手准备1分钟左右的演讲，内容可自行决定。当天的比赛顺序按照选手到场的签到顺序排列。
3、选拔标准：预赛实行批准制，评委可根据选手表现情况自行打断演讲，并决定选手是否进入初赛。三位评委中若有两名表示同意，则该选手可进入初赛。
4、赛场设定：3个赛场，每场中3位评委。预赛中选取50人进入初赛。
（三）、初赛
1、时间：4月8日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：
（1）每位选手准备3分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。
（2）评委就选手演讲内容进行提问，每位选手作1分钟以内的问答。
（3）比赛时选手按照事先的编号顺序进行。
3、选拔标准：初赛实行批准制，评委根据选手演讲和作答情况综合评审，三位中若有两位表示同意，则该选手可进入复赛。
4、赛场设定：两个赛场，每场中3位评委。复赛按照50进30进行淘汰。
（四）、复赛
1、时间：5月6日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：
（1）每位选手准备2分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。
（2）选手随机抽一副图片进行陈述，时间不超过2分钟。后一名选手在前一名选手作看图陈述时进行自己的准备。
（3）比赛时选手按照事先的编号顺序进行。
3、选拔标准：复赛实行评分制，每位评委根据选手演讲和陈述情况打两个分数计算出每位评委的总分后取平均值。按照得分高低排列名次。排名前十名的选手可进入决赛。
4、赛场设定：一个赛场，5位评委。复赛按照30进10进行淘汰。
（五）、决赛
1、时间：5月25日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：决赛分为三轮进行
第一轮：
（1）、每位选手准备2分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。评委根剧选手演讲情况进行分别进行打分，并当场排名。
（2）、根据演讲的排名情况，第一名选手直接晋级第三轮，最后一名选手被淘汰，得优秀奖。其余八名选手进入第二轮。
第二轮：选手较量赛
（1）、随机抽取选手编号将八名选手分为4组。
（2）、每组抽取屏幕上的一个数字，每个数字后有一道场景题，选手经过准备后须就该场景作2分钟以内的自由对话（freetalk环节）。
（3）、场内的9名大众评审分别给每组中自己喜欢那位选手投票，每组中得票高的4名选手进入第三轮，得票低的4名选手进入“复活环节”。
（4）“复活环节”：即4名选手分别给出一句话的自我陈述或总结，由在座评委讨论决定其中1名可“复活”并进入第三轮。未复活的3名选手被淘汰，得优秀奖。
第三轮：
（1）、最终有6名选手晋级，按照持有号码从大到小排列的顺序依次抽取一道题，作2分钟之内的即兴演讲。
（2）、评委就每位选手的即兴演讲和之前的表现打两个分数并计算总分，将每位评委的总分进行合计后取平均值。
（3）、按照最终得分高低将6名选手排名，最后决出一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名。
（4）、给第一轮中排名第一的选手颁发“最佳演讲者”称号。

（一）比赛规则
1、比赛以公平公正为原则，以丰富和活跃校园生活、促进交流与沟通为宗旨。
2、大赛分为定题演讲（自我介绍和话题演讲），即兴演讲个环节。依据评委打分计算出成绩，最后颁发一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和参与奖。
（二）活动流程
1、主持人开场（介绍选手情况，到场评委，嘉宾，流程评分制及与观众互动形式）

3、定题演讲按选手号码顺序进行定题演讲
每位选手先进行较全面的自我介绍，后进行演讲、时限3~5分钟

主持人公布成绩（每4位公布一次成绩）

But, nowadays, people gradually lose their imagination, or the imagination of people have been killed.Under the exam-oriented education，only the standard answer is correct, the deviated answer is wrong.This causes scores become the dominant factor,so student had to give up their imagination,began to rote realize China's dream and the national rejuvenation, can without imagination?

尊敬的评委们，亲爱的同学们，下午好，很荣幸有这样一个机会在这里演讲，今天我演讲的题目是：”No imagination no invention“.众所周知，想象力是发明创造的动力，许多发明都是由想象的闪现开始的。 毫无疑问的说，如果没有想象，如此多优秀的发明就没有出现的可能。列宁说过：想象是极其可贵的品质，设想一下，如果没有想象，世界将会怎样，也许只会是一片灰色。拥有想象力是人类强于其他动物的根本原因。没有想象力的人类将不会有任何的发展与进步。爱因斯坦之所能发现相对论，就是因为他的童真的想象力。乔布斯创造了苹果，也来源于他的简约理念和脱俗的想象力。

On March 14th, 20xx, professor Stephen William Hawking passed away. His contribution to inflationary cosmology has forever shifted our understanding of the universe. He wasn’t just a physicist for England, but for all mankind. His death marks the end of an era. He has passed the baton to a new generation of minds, to a new era. The exploration of nature waits for no man. So, are we ready to embrace the new era and new challenges?
When I was a kid, professor Hawking was known to me as the author of A Brief History of Time. I bought a lot of science books back then, but they were really difficult to understand. Whenever I stumbled, I would turn to my physics teacher for help. We would go through pages and pages of materials together, whether it was middle school stuff or Feynman’s lecture from Caltech, sometimes hours on end. I felt like we were tearing off the mask of nature and staring at the face of god. It was his guidance that encouraged me to study physics today. We’re living in an era in which science is embedded in people’s lives. From teachers who pass on knowledge, to construction workers who build labs; from organizations that provide funding, to scientists who conduct research, we all contribute to science in our own unique ways. We the people say we’re ready.
On October 5th, 20xx, China finally had its first Nobel Prize in natural science. Ms. Tu Youyou’s work and her receiving the most prestigious science award made us proud. We’re living in an era in which China is building some of the best research projects and institutions worldwide. Just a month ago, Professor Zhang Miman won the UNESCO for Women in Science Award, making her the fifth Chinese recipient of this honor. A week after that, The Economist referred to China as “a continent-sized rapidly growing economy with a culture of scientific inquiry”。 Physicist and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Science, Dr. Zhang Jie stated, “China now has the most accurate, sufficient and largest amount of data; China has the highest, fastest and best ability of data analysis. The Chinese government will be strongly pushing for the sharing and utilization of data resources.” We as a country say we’re ready.
Science is an immortal topic of mankind. We’ve come this far because we’ve learned to work together and let the ideas evolve. The dispute over the completeness of quantum mechanics, for example, was resolved in the 5th Solvay conference, attended by 29 physicists from 10 different countries who have won 15 Nobel Prizes combined. That was almost 100 years ago. Now we’re living in an era in which information is transmitted at the speed of light, in which “International cooperation” is not just a slogan anymore, especially to the scientific community. Chinese Academy of Science now has 47 partners overseas. The International Council for Science now includes 122 national members, 23 scientific associates and 31 scientific unions. The facilities of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, are available to over 600 universities and institutes around the globe. We, the world, are more than ready.
We’re all made of particles that have existed since the beginning of the universe, I’d like to believe those particles traveled through countless eras to create us, so that we, the people, China, and the world, can stand on the shoulders of giants, march into the new era with our head held high, and make people like Professor Hawking proud.

All over the world people listen to classical music.Classical music is difficult to describe.It means different things to different people.
Some famous classical composers were Bach,Vivaldi,Haydn and Mozart.In their music,they did not tell a story or show strong emotions.They wanted to make beautiful and interesting music with lovely sounds.
Then composers started to express ideas.They told stories about love and war.They also wrote about religion.Sometimes they composed music for holidays.Through their music composers showed strong emotions.Some of these composers were Beethoven,Schumann,Chopin,Mendelssohn,Wagner and Tchaikovsky.
Classical music has been popular for hundreds of years.Bach wrote about 300 years ago.Beethoven wrote about 200 years ago.And Tchaikovsky wrote over 100 years ago.

记得在我的孩提时代有着这样的记忆：因为生病，心急如焚的父母把我送进了医院，本来就对医院有恐惧感，刚一进医院大门，就一直哭嚷着要回家，医生还说需要打针，于是在爸爸妈妈软硬兼施的诱逼下，来到了打针的地方，就见有位阿姨穿立脚点白大褂，戴着白口罩，头上还戴着一顶白色的帽子，全身上下都是白色，一手举着针，一手拿着棉签，面无表情地来到了我的面前，我越发害怕，吓得一直往后退，虽然被父母强行按住身体，但还是不停地扭动，就这样，折腾了老半天，那阿姨急了，大嚷道："你再动，再动就给你多打几针！"还边责令母亲将我按得动弹不得，现在想来，如果当时那个护士不是那么隐，而是微笑症鼓励我，也许我就不会那么害怕了吧！
随着时光的推移，我慢慢地长大了，面对人生选择时竟然也戏剧化地做了一名护士，成了人们眼中的"白衣天使"，当我成为儿科护士的第一天起，我就告诉自己说：既然我也是一名儿科护士，就一定要用我的微笑来面对生病的孩子，改变我孩提时脑海中那咱面无表情，看上去让人生畏的护士形象。前不久，有一位6~7岁的小男孩的一句话让我更坚信我这样做是对的。第一次给这个小男孩做治疗的时候，我就像平时一样面带微笑一样走进病房，他就总是盯着我看，到了第二年，他哭吵着奶奶要找我给他打针，听他奶奶说本来有护士准备给他打针的，可他硬是不肯，握着小拳头不让人碰，偏要找我，于是我就去了，他看到我之后竟然不器了，只是乖乖地伸出两只小手由我挑选，我很诧异，为什么这个小男孩会有这样的举动，但当时没有问，只是在思考，接下来几天的治疗都由我为他进行的，可由于工作忙，打完了他的针，我便忙着我自己班上的事儿去了，好久没看到我，他就说打针的部位很痛，要奶奶找我去看他，我去了之后，边微笑着轻轻抚摸，边细声问道：还痛吗？他眨眨眼望着我说：不痛，其实一点都不痛。到了他出院的时候，我就问他，为什么每次打针都找我，而他说了句让我非常感动的话，阿姨，因为我想看见你对我笑。
"三分治疗，七分护理。"于是我越来越能够感觉出护理工作的重要必。曾经有人说过。"拉开人生帷幕的人是护士，拉上人生帷幕的人也是护士。"是啊，在人的一生当中有谁会不需要护士的细致关心和悉心照顾呢？"护理工作是一门精细的世术。"护士要有一颗

Many people believe that money is the most important thing in life. It seems impossible to live without money in today’s society. With money people can buy bigger house fancy cloths expensive food luxurious cars and travel all around the world. Money leads to a better life and ensure people’s basic needs. Money is also stand for wealth and social status. If one makes countless money then he is a successful man. As to some young girls money is the only measure to access a man. If a man has a new apartment and a new car he will be the “hot stuff” in the girls’ eye. They marry for money rather than for love. Just like the old Chinese saying goes money makes the mare go. Making more money has become a major goal in the eye of some people. They value money more than anything else in the world.
Different people have different opinions of money. Some people spare no effort to make money such as stealing gambling and cheating. They believe money can bring them everything. However I don’t think money can make people really happy or bring people everything. People can not use money to buy health. Steven Jobs the founder of the Apple Company died of cancer. He was a billionaire but he couldn’t use money to buy himself a longer life. And money can not buy the time that already slip away. Money is also a tool for us to exchange materials but not all the stuff. We should have a right attitude towards money. We should earn money by honest means and spend it probably. Only in this way money can make us happy.
We Are The World ,We Are The Future
Someone said "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite". I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. "How to spend the youth?" It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask "what do you understand by the word youth?" Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
A poet said "To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

每当教师节来临的时候，我总会情不自禁地想起赵朴初先生写的那首《金缕曲·敬献人民教师》。词的上阕是：“不用天边觅。论英雄，教师队里，眼前便是。历尽艰难曾不悔，只是许身孺子。堪回首，十年往事。无怨无尤吞折齿，捧丹心，默向红旗祭。忠与爱，无伦比。”或许，这首词并没有完全道出为人师者的全部内涵，但我们至少从中感受到了赵老所赞颂的那种人间最伟大、最无私、最高尚的爱——师爱！
那么，什么是师爱？有人把师爱比作母爱，对此我不完全赞同。的确，师爱与母爱有很多相同之处，但师爱比母爱更加博大无私。母爱是无私的，母亲可以为子女付出一切而不图任何回报。但母爱往往只限于自己的儿女，这是无私中的自私。师爱则不同，她高于母爱、大于友爱、胜于情爱。不是吗？母爱容易出现溺爱，友爱需要回报，情爱是专一、自私的爱。而师爱是严与爱的结合，是理智的科学的爱，教师一生可以为无数的生命指航，这是最彻底的无私，它包涵了崇高的使命感和责任感。“师爱是清凉的甘泉，浇灌出智慧的花朵；师爱是明媚的阳光，哺育着生命之树；师爱是燃烧的火炬，指引着混沌未开的生命步入文明的圣殿！”
我相信在座的每一位教师的身边，都发生过许多关于师爱的动人故事。在你们当中，有在三尺讲台上默默耕耘几十年，刚一退休便立即倒在病床上，不久即病逝的王悦友老师；有退休仍抱育人志，甘为教育献余热的一批老教师，如王祥汉、李成聪、张玉祥和张玄等；有抱病坚持教学，为国家培育人才呕心沥血的周红湘、李奕珊等；有淡泊名利、辛勤奉献、德艺双馨的一批中年教师，如黄智明、黄巨英、潘妹香等；有一批朝气蓬勃、积极工作的青年教师，如张丽勇、任翔等；还有视学生为自己孩子，关爱有加的班主任，如陆惠生、苗向辉等……。
就在前些天，欧运熙同学不慎被玻璃割伤了手腕，身为班主任的陈凯老师知道后，立即将他送去医院，并陪着做完手术，一直到凌晨4点多钟。象这样的教师，在全国各地，又何止千万！是的，他们甘为人梯，吃也清淡，穿也素雅，面对大千世界，他们怀着一颗平常心，淡泊名利，像春蚕，像蜡烛，在平凡的工作岗位上，用青春和生命谱写无怨无悔的人生。虽然平凡，他们的脊梁却支撑着祖国的未来；虽然清贫，他们的双手却托举着明天的太阳。
如果说，上面所列举的这些人和事，是那样的平凡和微不足道，那么，全国各地那些为教育事业献出宝贵生命的老师们，就更值得我们敬佩了，他们用热血和生命书写着大写的师爱，是教师的光辉典范。在这里，我信手拈来几则报刊上报道的新闻。当飞驰而来的小轿车威胁着学生的生命时，殷雪梅老师挺身而出，用血肉之躯将学生扑到路边，从轮胎下救下了七位小朋友的生命，她却再也没有醒来；当重庆市开县发生“井喷”时，第一个发现毒气的谭世明老师为了通知附近的学生转移，自己和七个家人都被毒气夺去了生命；当克拉玛依市友谊馆的大火逼向上千名学生时，老师们奋不顾身地与火魔搏斗！绝大多数孩子脱险了，而36名教师的铮铮铁骨却与烈火熔为一体；20xx年5月12日四川汶川发生特大地震，德阳市东汽中学教学楼坍塌。
在地震发生的一瞬间，该校教导主任谭千秋双臂张开趴在课桌上，身下死死地护着4个学生。4个学生都获救了，谭老师却不幸遇难。网友木子发表了一首诗，其中一段这样写道：“你离去的姿势好美 / 美的让人流泪 / 你像雄鹰张开翅膀 / 守护住 / 未来的希望” 。这些可敬的老师们，用自己的生命谱写着一曲曲师爱的赞歌！
故事太多，师爱太浓，短短的几分钟时间，我歌不完、颂不尽，因为——师爱如歌！
最后，我用赵朴初先生的词的下阕来结束我的演讲：
“幼苗茁壮园丁喜。几人知，平时辛苦，晚眠早起。燥湿寒温荣与悴，都在心头眼底。费尽了，千方百计！他日良材承大厦，赖今朝，血汗番番滴。光和热，无穷际。”

“Globalization is a conspiracy.” my South African friend, Nuhu, once told me. I was in a shock while he explained, “It’s a game that we’re forced to play by the rules set by the superior westerners.” And by learning about the drive of the original globalization, the primitive accumulation of capital, I’m convinced that enough is enough. The unequal, violent exchange should have been enough since a long time ago.
However, what we do see today is that China has risen up by selling our products around the globe and learning advanced technology from others. And Africa is also believed to be the next China, another economic hub in the near future. So, although this might be an unfair game to play like what Nuhu claims, what he fails to see is that globalization is the very ladder for nations, especially those at the bottom of the global hierarchy to climb up. This win-win globalization is not enough. We can have more of it.
But what is the backlash? We have been fearing that the tide of globalization, the outpouring of western values will undermine our own. So when the global stage is not hearing a lot from the Chinese culture and not to mention the African culture, I guess Nuhu is onto something. The globalization that amplifies some cultures while extinguishing the others should have been enough since the very beginning.
And yet that’s not the whole picture. We see that our traditional works like Sun Tzu’s Art of War being worshiped by businessmen around the globe makes us start to relook at it and appreciate it again. And the Nobel Prize awarding for Moyan’s literature leads us to reflect on the development of our villages. So in the past, only we, Chinese people protect and pass on Chinese culture; but now, the international scholars, professors or even just ordinary people all over the world who get interested in our culture are preserving it. The uniqueness not well-protected by us transforms into the diversity universally-respected by global citizens. It is because of globalization that China and its culture are truly on a global stage.
So globalization is actually an on-going process that keeps surprising us while startling those worries and fears. It’s a dynamic system that we should look for ways to utilize and enhance.
But with the Brexit and the success of Trumpism, it seems major countries are all shifting away from globalization. But just because they are slowing down, making turns and adjusting themselves instead of peddling up, it doesn’t mean they are going for anti-globalization.
We are at an unprecedented point where the world becomes ever so connected that we need to figure out the boundaries and balance between censorship and openness; sameness and differences; patriotism and global citizenship. It’s the best time that every nation should seek for a better role to play in the globalization where we should continue to make improvements on.
It’s very understandable for nations to panic and make changes but we should never quit for it’s clear to us all that globalization is the only way that we seek for co-prosperity.
Globalization is not a conspiracy planned already, but a beautifully unfinished song to be written by us all.

My grandpa was among the first group of English teachers sent to Australia by the Chinese government in the 1980s, when our country first opened its door. I went to an American university for a summer program last year. After watching a movie, I decided to take a bus back to my apartment. However the bus didn’t arrive as scheduled. After waiting for about 20 minutes in the darkness, I was very uneasy and also scared. I stood there, staring into the direction which the bus should come from. But there was no bus but a street singer singing some unknown songs with his noisy guitar. The wind brought a feeling of chill, and as more and more stores closed and fewer and fewer people passed by, I couldn’t help shivering in the cold darkness. Suddenly, a piece of familiar music flowed into my ear. It was the best-known Chinese folk song: the Jasmine Flower! He was playing the Jasmine Flower with his guitar.
